FAQs for Summer Health Hubs 2023

  1. What are the benefits of attending? The Summer Health Hub is a fantastic roadshow to connect you to your local health and voluntary services. We will offer support for your summer health concerns (travel clinic, allergy and skin clinic) and provide information and activities to further your knowledge and improve wellbeing. As well as meeting our friendly teams who can offer you the opportunity for Health and BP checks.
  2. Who will be there? At the Summer Health Hub you will meet members of the wider local primary care clinical team (Social Prescribing Link Workers, Health and Wellbeing Coaches, Clinical Pharmacists, First Contact Physiotherapists and Care Coordinators) and charity partners (MyHealth, DASH and H4ALL) and more.
  3. Will I be able to see my GP? No, however you can expect to meet our wider local primary care clinical team (see Question 2) who can support with a broad range of advice and signposting.
  4. Is this an appointment I need to attend? This not an appointment but a community event so attendance is free and open to our patients and the local community.
  5. Can I discuss my medical issue? The Summer Health Hub can provide generic support for your health concerns such as seasonal allergies. If you have a specific medical concern please book an appointment as usual with your practice.
