An exciting opportunity has arisen to appoint a new full time assistant Practice Manager to join our friendly team of 4 Partners and 2 salaried doctors in a training practice located in Hayes which has its own premises and gated car park. We are looking for a conscientious experienced candidate who can support the Practice Manager with the operational management of the day to day activity of the practice. The Practice is within easy reach of the A40 and M4 in West London. Our Practice is dynamic and forward thinking with a multidisciplinary team onsite. The Practice list size is 10,800, has a Good CQC rating, uses EMIS web and Docman10 and has a high QOF achievement |
Role Description | Job Summary To support the Practice Manager with operational management in the day to day activity of the practice and to provide an element of cover or source of advice in the event of his/her absence. The post holder will work closely, and under the direction of the Practice Manager and Partners to improve standards across a wide range of clinical and administrative activity. To deal with all aspects of maintenance/utilities / contractors and contracts negotiations To look after the cleaners and check the diary every day Ordering of cleaning products for cleaners including couch rolls and hand towels To arrange weekly and bi-annual fire bell testing and arrange fire evacuation twice a year. To organise calibration of clinical and non clinical equipment once a year. To organise changing of disposal curtains for all clinical room and date when changed. To organise PAT testing and Fix wire testing Over see’s Legionella Testing Infection control – to carry out annual audit with support from PM and a clinician IT lead iGPR management and patient information lead Information Governance – to lead on annual IG toolkit with PM’s assistance Data protection Officer – to ensure all relevant policies and procedures are in place and are kept up to date. Health and safety – ensure policies and procedures are in place and up to date Finance/accounting procedures including claims and administration of the accounting software QuickBooks Support and assist the Practice Manager Reporting to the Practice Manager and Partners Confidentiality In the course of seeking treatment, patients entrust us with, or allow us to gather, sensitive information in relation to their health and other matters.
